At My Energy Deals, we receive compensation from the business energy suppliers we work with for connecting our customers to their gas and/or electricity services.
This commission is paid directly by the supplier, so there’s no need for you to pay us directly for our services.
The commission we earn supports our operations, allowing us to provide services such as finding competitive tariffs, comparing prices, offering sales assistance, managing the switching process, processing your contract, and handling customer and account management. This compensation enables us to deliver these services while continuing to offer you competitive energy deals for your business.
By utilizing our services, you consent to My Energy Deals receiving commission from the suppliers as outlined below:
The commission is factored into your energy unit cost through a slight increase, which is included in the overall energy price you agree upon with your chosen supplier. The uplift, set by My Energy Deals, may vary between contracts but generally constitutes a small percentage of the total energy cost, typically less than 1.2 pence per unit of energy. Our commissions are based on estimated future energy consumption, they are projected figures. For example, if we secure an electricity rate of 20 pence per kWh (kilowatt hour) from a supplier, an uplift of 0.5 pence per kWh might be applied, making your contracted rate 20.5 pence per kWh. The commission we earn is calculated by multiplying this uplift by your total energy consumption (in kWh) over the duration of the contract, which, in this case, equates to approximately 2.5% of the total retail price. The timing and terms for when this commission is paid can differ depending on the supplier and may be adjusted over time. In some cases, particularly with new meter installations, suppliers may opt to pay a fixed commission per contract instead.

My Energy Deals also earns a commission from our business water partner when we introduce customers to their services. This commission is incorporated into your water retail service fee through a slight uplift applied over the contract term, which is included in the total cost of the water service you agree to via My Energy Deals. You do not need to make any direct payments to us. This commission covers our service costs, including quoting, sales support, and managing the switch process, enabling us to continue providing competitive water deals for your business.
